The New Year will not be new if we continue to live in it with our old habits.
And it's so nice that we have the chance every 365 days to start over.
So let's not squander that chance either, and start living in a new, slow and delightful way to life itself.
Here's how it works:
Minimalism
You can't pay attention to the little things in life if you can't see them from too many possessions.
You can't hear your inner voice if you're busy maintaining a home that squeezes all your strength.
That's why minimalism is important - it helps us reclaim space for ourselves by minimizing the stuff that surrounds us.
If you haven't used something in over a year, it has no place in your home. If you want to enjoy your souvenirs from your travels, put them in a box and look at them occasionally instead of having them in front of your eyes all the time.
Live pleasures
Concerts, opera, theatre, operetta, comedies - we can watch anything our soul longs for live.
Going to live events takes a lot longer than a click of the button on the remote, but that's exactly why we remember them so much more vividly as a good moment of our lives.
And cell phones are banned in the venue. This will give us two precious hours to enjoy the present moment without rushing. True SlowLife fun.
The voice of the body
We smother our bodies with food, exhaust them with insomnia and wave our hand when it signals us in its own way that it needs help, that it's time to slow down.
Don't wait until you're sick with something serious to pay attention. Let 2019 be the year of your health - the physical, the spiritual. Only by paying attention to our own selves can we be at our best, and thus better for our families.
And the body doesn't like to be rushed - not when it's eating or sleeping. So try to tune into the Slow Life wave - our life is worth enjoying slowly.
