4 alternative slow life experiences
It's a big city and , of course, it's full of entertainment - delicious food, music to suit all tastes, gyms with a variety of offerings...
It sounds as if for the city person there is not the slightest "danger" of falling into the trap of boredom and routine... Alas, more and more people find themselves there! Entertainment is more and more predictable, meetings and conversations - more and more ordinary. And that's probably because all the variety of opportunities the city provides us with can easily be described with just one word - stereotypes!
Breaking through the massive 'fence' of the stereotype of urban fun may seem difficult, but sometimes even seemingly small ideas can make a big difference to the way we entertain, relax and even play sport!
"Dinneris for loved ones only"
Yes, and combined with friends it's one of those little-big things that make us happy. However, when it comes to meeting up with friends, our first thought is often "let's make dinner reservations"... "Snap" - we've fallen into the trap of one of the most persistent big city stereotypes!
"Let's change restaurants?" A good approach, but unlikely to help you completely change the way such a gathering goes!
Well, let's open our senses this time and look for a slow life alternative - a restaurant under the stars! You'll find it in the mountains. Don't worry - there are tables, benches and even gazebos, the air is clean, you can laugh at will and yes - no need for a reservation!
Prepare a neat tablecloth,a set of candles and a lantern for the tree above the table, a basket of home cooked food and VOILÀ - slow dinner is ready!
"Practice time. Quick to the gym?"
Outside the circle of hustle and bustle, sport gives us the tone we need, it's proven to banish stress, and when it's in the fresh air and a pro-green backdrop the synergy is complete. In the city, however, indoor sport has become a stereotype that is most diversified with a relaxation zone afterwards. The options to break the urban compulsion are many - outdoor fitness, jogging or cycling in the park, horseback riding, even a hike in the mountains, and why not to a relaxing outdoor spa?
"Life like at the movies, but in summer"
Often the first thought of spending leisure time is a good movie with good company. However, this time let's avoid the crowds, the popcorn with the car and most of all the indoors and as an alternative make a summer cinema at home. Use the patio at night by decorating with lanterns, throw pillows, and a wall and projector will replace the big screen quite successfully. So, immerse yourself in another "movie" - among the sounds of crickets and twinkling fireflies.
"Without music, life would be a mistake"
Although these words were spoken over a century ago, we can certainly use them to describe life today. We love good music often in the company of pleasant conversation and a drink. The urban stereotype that has strongly emerged to this day is themed venues, and we are happy to sometimes unleash our favourites, but why not break this reality and organise something unrelated to the fast life? The recipe is a handful of friends, fresh cocktails and good music, and the alternative is a landscaped courtyard or comfortable rooftop.
Laugh, run, relax, or just live in nature...Slowly, because the quality of life is not in the stereotypes imposed today, but in those that our senses whisper to us!
