Dimitar Savov, CEO of BLD, lifts the curtain on the largest mixed-use project in Sofia - UPTOWN SQUARE.
Mr. Savov, a red fence with a central location in Lozenets has sparked huge interest for months. Are you ready to reveal the secret?
Yes, the moment has come when we are ready to talk about the biggest project our company has invested in since its establishment. It will undoubtedly change the environment in the area and we are sure that with its opening the complex will become a destination not only because of its excellent location but also because of its concept.
For years, we have dreamed of creating a place with an attractive atmosphere where life looks different - dynamic, elegant, reflecting the latest trends in housing. Situated on 17 acres in one of the most desirable areas of the city, UPTOWN SQUARE is not just another residential development, it is an environment and a hub for the community. For a long time we were also looking for a suitable name for the complex - a name that would fit all its characteristics and the environment we were creating. And the square, which will be an attraction for the people of the city. In the project we have combined global experience with local best practices.
This is why UPTOWN SQUARE is a joint project between Atelier Serafimov Architects, one of the most prestigious architectural studios in Bulgaria, and E8 Architecture, one of London's leading architectural studios, renowned for its functional and modern style and winner of awards for innovation and design.
We are excited to bring to the market a modern architectural gem with quality and functional infrastructure and its own unique atmosphere. The buildings in UPTOWN SQUARE will feature an innovative glass and aluminium element façade that will give the development a unique look.

What is your focus for 2024?

Together with UPTOWN SQUARE, we will announce two new projects on the market, including a new investment product in our portfolio. We will offer our clients fully completed and furnished homes in the central part of Sofia with guaranteed yields. Within this year three more of our buildings will be completed and ready to welcome their new residents - AVIVA, STELLAR and MONA 3. We continue to invest in innovative business solutions and quality customer service.
In January, we will unveil BLD's new website, which offers a real-world experience with virtual tours of UPTOWN SQUARE homes and views from every terrace. We believe 2024 will be one of the most successful years for our team and we will continue to enforce high standards in every phase of our work. Nearly 50% of our transactions are referral transactions and this gives us confidence that we are moving in the right direction whilst inspiring us to invest in improving the product and the quality of service we offer.
