Palm Sunday is coming. This means that each of us has at least one namesake in our close circle of friends or relatives. The variety of flower names creates a bit of a challenge for us celebrants - they sound different, and we can never be sure whether Iva, for example, is celebrating on Ivanov's Day or Palm Sunday. Once we've tackled that task, the next comes - what flowers would we get wrong and how can we not hear the line "Roses? Here are a few topical and pleasant-looking and smelling flowers, with which there is no danger of receiving criticism - verbal or mental.
Eustoma
Resembles a rose, but is more subtle. You can be classic and give a pink one, but equally popular are the purple, white, striped ones. The beautiful long and thin stems allow for height in the bouquet. Your reputation as an aristocratic personality is tied up in a handkerchief.
Freesia
If you're gifting to a person who is a fan of nature, natural elements and elaborate bouquets wouldn't impress him, freesia is your flower. They tend to be extremely colourful and you can easily form a bouquet that will make the most dedicated sceptic smile.
Ranunculus
Or Asiatic buttercup. Extremely patterned, with tubby flowers and curved stems. Unconventional, but beloved by everyone who has once received or given them. If you still don't like them, you can show yourself off as an innovator who always has alternative ideas.
Sunflower
A classic you can't go wrong with. Besides being a yellow, sunny flower, it brings pleasant emotions. And it allows for jokes like "Sunflower for the sun" as well as "Don't you love sunflower seeds?".
Hydrangea
Hydrangea is bushy, large, and is ideal not to make a bouquet, but to give a single flower - a gesture that many people enjoy sincerely. Again, the variety of colours is great and its fragrance is enough for a room of at least 60 sqm :)
