The project for the renovation of ul.

Work has started on the renovation of the urban environment in the shortest pedestrian street in the centre of Sofia - ul. "The renovation of the street should be completed by autumn and will include the replacement of paving with an extension of the area with yellow paving stones, the renovation of manholes and underground infrastructure, lighting and urban design elements, as well as the creation of an information system to showcase the rich history that the street hides in its modest 60 metres.the renovation project was donated by Atelier Serafimov Architects and was presented for discussion and feedback in May of this year.

The work to visualise the historical narrative of the street is now underway. Malko Tarnovo began in the spring with the collection of historical references, archival footage, myths and legends about the street and continued with discussions with intellectuals and an exhibition at the Archives Gallery, which also included the State Archives Agency and the Museum of the History of Sofia. This weekend's work continued with a workshop on inclusive design techniques, which aimed to gather opinions from citizens of different demographics and backgrounds on how to present the street's historical memories in the most accessible way for its future visitors. The two workshops with citizens will take place at Sofia Lab on ul. "1 Serdika Street this Saturday, July 27, at 10 am and 1 pm. The workshops will be hosted by Ivelina Gadzeva, a graduate in inclusive design who has many years of experience in British, Singaporean and Chinese companies and currently works in the team of The Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design at the Royal College of Art, London, where she is developing a strategy for the development of Singapore Airlines.
